Far, far too many parents choose to believe that minor, incremental tweaks to the problematic behaviors of their own parents will absolve them.

In reality, this does nothing more than allow the cycles of abuse and violence to survive, evolving at each generation, continuing to elude detection.

If we are not actively working to fully break the cycle, we are feeding its longevity.
